The Fix!

The Fix part of our house is now 'almost' finished! That means that next week we will receive the second last payment invoice! Boy will we be glad to not be paying rent and a mortgage!

The front door, just needs painting!

After the render was put on. It is still wet, and hasn't been painted yet.

Mail box

A couple of weeks ago we went to the local Home and Garden Expo as something fun to do with the kids.

While we were there we spotted the perfect mailbox for our new house. Both of us loved it as soon as we saw it. It just happened to be the same colour as the render on our house.

It is solid sandstone, and has been hand crafted by a local stone mason. It also just happened to be a really really great price.... so we bought it!

How soon could we put up a mailbox before we move in?

It sure would be great if we could start directing mail to our new house now - after all I drive past most days, so I could easily stop and pick up any mail!

Kitchen bathroom and laundry

In the last week so much has happened with our house - finally we seem to be able to see the end of it all. Everything seems to be falling into place, and all the prayers we have said appear to be being listened to.

Our contract states the house will be finished by the 21st of December, and as that date is creeping closer and closer, faster and faster, we are really praying that the house will be finished on time. Hubby has 6 weeks of holidays over Christmas (he is a school teacher) - and we will be able to do so much to the house and gardens in that time!

Anyway here  are some photos of the plaster finished off, and of all the cabinets for the bathrooms, laundry and kitchen.
